The latest version now features the STM32U5G9 microcontroller, an enhancement from the previously used STM32U5A9 offering best-in-class performance, ultra-low-power efficiency, and advanced security features, including the NeoChromVG GPU for sophisticated graphical interfaces.
The key improvements include:
- Increased SRAM: Upgraded from 2.5 MB to 3 MB of SRAM, providing more memory for complex applications.
- Vector Graphics Acceleration: Powered by the new NeoChromVG GPU with a JPEG codec, enabling advanced vector graphic processing.
- Video Playback Capability: The new module supports motion JPEG (M-JPEG) video playback, catering to the growing demand for versatile embedded displays with video capabilities.

The transition to the STM32U5G9 is seamless, maintaining full compatibility with the older STM32U5A9 version, which will remain available. However, we recommend the new version to meet the rising demand for versatile embedded displays equipped with video capabilities.
