Contrairement aux \u00e9crans LCD classiques, qui n\u00e9cessitent une source de r\u00e9tro\u00e9clairage s\u00e9par\u00e9e, chaque pixel OLED \u00e9met sa propre lumi\u00e8re. Cette diff\u00e9rence fondamentale a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 la conception des \u00e9crans, permettant des noirs profonds, un contraste exceptionnel et de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s d&rsquo;application.  <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Comment_fonctionne_lOLED\"><\/span>Comment fonctionne l&rsquo;OLED ?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Une seule <\/span><b>OLED<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  est une structure semi-conductrice multicouche. Ses principaux composants sont les suivants <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Anode &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> une \u00e9lectrode positive transparente (le plus souvent en oxyde d&rsquo;indium et d&rsquo;\u00e9tain) qui introduit des \u00ab\u00a0trous\u00a0\u00bb (\u00e9lectrons manquants avec une charge positive) dans les couches organiques.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Cathode &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> une \u00e9lectrode n\u00e9gative (souvent de l&rsquo;aluminium ou d&rsquo;autres m\u00e9taux) qui fournit des \u00e9lectrons.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Couche \u00e9missive (EML) &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">la zone o\u00f9 les porteurs de charge se recombinent et o\u00f9 la lumi\u00e8re est \u00e9mise.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Les couches de transport &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les couches de transport <\/span><b>HTL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (couche de transport de trous) et <\/span><b>ETL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (couche de transport d&rsquo;\u00e9lectrons) qui facilitent la migration des charges vers la LEM.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lorsqu&rsquo;une tension est appliqu\u00e9e, l&rsquo;anode attire les \u00e9lectrons des couches organiques (cr\u00e9ant des trous) tandis que la cathode injecte des \u00e9lectrons. Lorsque ces charges se rencontrent dans la couche \u00e9missive, elles se recombinent. Ce processus lib\u00e8re de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie sous la forme d&rsquo;un photon. La longueur d&rsquo;onde de la lumi\u00e8re \u00e9mise &#8211; et donc sa couleur &#8211; d\u00e9pend du mat\u00e9riau organique sp\u00e9cifique utilis\u00e9. Ce contr\u00f4le individuel permet d&rsquo;obtenir un v\u00e9ritable noir (lorsqu&rsquo;un pixel est compl\u00e8tement \u00e9teint), des r\u00e9glages pr\u00e9cis de la luminosit\u00e9 et des couleurs, ainsi qu&rsquo;un contraste \u00e9lev\u00e9 sans r\u00e9tro\u00e9clairage. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En fonction de leur application et de leur construction, ils passent par des filtres RVB, ce qui permet d&rsquo;obtenir une luminosit\u00e9 et une uniformit\u00e9 des couleurs \u00e9lev\u00e9es.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il existe de nombreux types d&rsquo;\u00e9crans OLED, mais ces trois types sont les plus couramment utilis\u00e9s :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>AMOLED<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  (Active Matrix OLED) &#8211; utilis\u00e9e dans les smartphones, les smartwatches et les t\u00e9l\u00e9viseurs.
